Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s Divorce Verdict to Be Announced Tomorrow

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, choreographer Dhanashree Verma, are set to receive the final verdict on their divorce case tomorrow. Reports indicate that Dhanashree will receive ₹4.75 crore as alimony as part of the settlement. The news comes after months of speculation regarding their marital status and legal proceedings.

Court Expedites Divorce Process

The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020, have reportedly been living separately for over two and a half years. They filed for divorce earlier this year, citing compatibility issues as the primary reason. Initially, a family court refused to waive the mandatory six-month cooling-off period due to incomplete financial settlements. However, a higher court has now intervened, allowing the case to be expedited.

The decision to fast-track the process was influenced by Chahal’s professional commitments, particularly with the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, where he has signed a record-breaking deal worth ₹18 crore with Punjab Kings.

Financial Settlement Details

As part of the agreement, Chahal has already paid ₹2.37 crore of the total ₹4.75 crore alimony, with the remaining amount scheduled to be paid post-divorce. Speculation had earlier suggested that Dhanashree demanded ₹60 crore, but her family has denied such claims, stating that no such amount was ever discussed.

Moving Forward

Both Chahal and Dhanashree are now expected to part ways amicably following the court's decision. With the financial settlement in place, Chahal will be focusing on his IPL commitments, while Dhanashree is likely to continue her work in the entertainment and dance industry.

The court’s final ruling tomorrow will mark the official conclusion of their marriage, allowing both individuals to move forward with their respective lives.
