Dubai, UAE – March 12, 2025 – The UAE wakes up to a mix of partly cloudy skies and moderate temperatures, with hints of changing weather patterns expected in the coming hours. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued alerts for possible light rain in parts of the country, with humidity levels on the rise as the day progresses.
As of this morning, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah are recording temperatures around 26-28°C, with highs expected to reach 30-32°C by the afternoon. Humidity levels will increase, peaking at around 70-80% in coastal areas, which may cause some discomfort in the evening. Light to moderate winds from the northwest at 15-25 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 35 km/h, could cause some dust to stir in open areas.
What to Expect Throughout the Day?
- Coastal areas (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman): Warm but humid with occasional cloud cover. Light rain showers are possible later in the evening.
- Inland regions (Al Ain, Liwa): Warmer temperatures reaching 33-35°C, with dusty winds in some open areas.
- Northern Emirates (Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah): A cooler breeze with a higher chance of scattered rain, particularly over the mountains.
- Sea Conditions: The Arabian Gulf will see moderate to rough waves at times, so caution is advised for small boats. The Oman Sea remains relatively calm.
Rain Alert & Weekend Outlook
Weather experts predict a slight increase in rain chances over the next 48 hours, particularly in northern and eastern regions. By the weekend, cloud cover is expected to increase, bringing cooler nights and the possibility of stronger winds in desert areas.
With fluctuating humidity and a chance of rain, UAE residents should stay prepared for sudden changes. If you're planning outdoor activities, carry an umbrella and stay hydrated, as the heat index will feel higher than the actual temperature.
