Two Men Charged in Deaths of Kansas City Chiefs Fans Found in Backyard

Two men have been charged in connection with the deaths of three Kansas City Chiefs fans, whose bodies were discovered in the backyard of a friend’s home over a year ago.

Charges and Arrests

Prosecutors have charged Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson with:

  • Three counts of involuntary manslaughter
  • Two counts of distributing a controlled substance

Both men are accused of providing fentanyl-laced cocaine, which led to the deaths of Ricky Johnson Jr., David Harrington, and Clayton McGeeney on January 9, 2024.

According to investigators, Willis frequently supplied cocaine to his friends, allegedly purchasing the drugs from Carson.

What Happened?

On January 7, 2024, the three victims gathered at Willis’ home to watch a Kansas City Chiefs game.

  • Two days later, their bodies were found frozen in the backyard.
  • Autopsies confirmed that the men died from fentanyl and cocaine toxicity.
  • Police found evidence of drug use inside the home, along with bags containing cocaine and fentanyl that were linked to the suspects through DNA analysis.

Legal Consequences

Both men are being held on a $100,000 cash bond. If convicted, they could face up to 10 years in prison.

Willis, however, denies supplying the drugs, claiming he was unaware of what caused his friends' deaths.
