Prince Jackson Makes Rare Public Appearance at "MJ: The Musical" Premiere in Sydney

Prince Jackson, the eldest son of the late music icon Michael Jackson, made a rare public appearance at the Australian premiere of "MJ: The Musical" in Sydney on March 8, 2025. The event took place at the Lyric Theatre, where Prince, 28, walked the red carpet in a navy blue pinstriped suit, honoring his father's legacy.

The musical, which originally debuted on Broadway, explores Michael Jackson's creative process during his 1992 Dangerous World Tour. Featuring some of his greatest hits like "Thriller," "Billie Jean," and "Beat It," the production continues to celebrate the King of Pop's contributions to the music industry. The Australian edition of the musical stars U.S. actor Roman Banks in the lead role.

Prince Jackson has been actively preserving his father’s legacy alongside his siblings, Paris Jackson and Bigi Jackson. The trio also attended the musical’s preview in London’s West End in March 2024. In addition, Prince recently announced "This is Thriller," a special event that will take place every five years to honor Michael Jackson’s legendary song and influence. The first edition of the event is scheduled for October 26, 2024, in Los Angeles.

Apart from his public appearances, Prince Jackson continues his philanthropic efforts through the Heal Los Angeles Foundation, a charity he co-founded to support underprivileged youth. He also remains involved in various projects dedicated to keeping Michael Jackson’s memory alive, including the highly anticipated biopic, "Michael," set for release on October 3, 2025. The film, starring Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, will chronicle the life and career of the legendary performer.

As Prince Jackson maintains a relatively low public profile, his presence at "MJ: The Musical" in Sydney highlights his ongoing dedication to celebrating and preserving his father's legacy.
