Dubai Sees Light Rain Across Several Areas on February 18

Light rain was observed in multiple areas of Dubai today, providing a welcome change from the typically dry conditions. Residents in City Walk, Al Ain International Airport, Remah, and Alkhazna reported brief showers, while other regions across the UAE experienced similar weather fluctuations.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) had previously forecasted unsettled weather conditions from February 16 to 18, with expectations of light to moderate rainfall in coastal, northern, and eastern parts of the country.

Areas Where it Rained

  • City Walk – Light drizzle in the afternoon.
  • Al Ain International Airport – Scattered rain reported in the early hours.
  • Remah – Intermittent light showers.
  • Alkhazna – Cloudy conditions with brief rain spells.

The showers were accompanied by mild winds and partly cloudy skies, with temperatures ranging between 20°C and 26°C in Dubai. Humidity levels remained moderate to high, adding to the cooler, pleasant weather.

Weather Advisory for Motorists

Authorities have advised drivers to be cautious on wet roads, as the light rain may cause slippery conditions and reduced visibility.

The NCM continues to monitor weather patterns and has indicated that rainfall may persist in certain areas into the evening. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on official forecasts for any further developments.

  • The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in the coming days, with occasional chances of light rain.
  • Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and parts of the northern Emirates may also see light showers later this week.
